Infusion/Tisane
Definition:
A drink, remedy, or extract prepared by soaking the leaves of a plant or herb in liquid.
Recipe/Instructions:
◦Hot Infusion
◦1 tbsp dried herbs or 2 tbsps fresh herbs ◦1 c water brought just to boil and then shut off ◦Pour hot water over herbs and let sit for 5 – 20 minutes. Strain and drink. ◦Cold Infusion ◦1 tbsp dried herbs or 2 tbsps fresh herbs ◦1 c cold water ◦Pour water over herbs in a pitcher and let sit overnight. Strain and drink in the morning. |
